Internet is the way of getting information from anywhere.There are many different sources to get connected to the internet.Many devices can use Wi-Fi, e.g. personal computers, video-game consoles, smartphones, digital cameras, tablet computers and digital audio players. These can connect to a network resource such as the Internet via a wireless network access point. Such an access point (or hotspot) has a range of about 20 meters (66 feet) indoors and a greater range outdoors. Hotspot coverage can be as small as a single room with walls that block radio waves, or as large as many square kilometers achieved by using multiple overlapping access points.  

                                        

In these days technology is improving with incredible inventions for taking mankind into the comfort zones.In the coming days the things are going to get more interesting. The way we access internet can completely change forever. Well, that’s what scientists are telling us anyway. Remember this word – ‘Li-Fi’; it’s going to be used very often soon enough. What is it you ask? Li-Fi is a wireless technology that transmits high-speed (insanely high-speed) data using visible light communication, or VLC. So imagine switching on a bulb in your room, and it’ll not only be a source of light, but will also transmit wireless internet to your phones and other devices. 

                                       

                               The technology uses Visible Light Communication (VLC), a medium that uses visible light between 400 and 800 terahertz (THz). It works basically like an incredibly advanced form of Morse code – just like switching a torch on and off according to a certain pattern can relay a secret message, flicking an LED on and off at extreme speeds can be used to write and transmit things in binary code.                               

What is Li-F?
                       
 Li-Fi is the transmission of data through illumination by taking the fiber out of fiber optics by sending data through a LED light bulb.This varies in intensity faster then Human eye can follow.It is the fast and cheap wireless communication system which is optical version of the Wi-Fi.

                     

Advantages of Li-Fi technology:
1.It is possible to achieve more than 10Gbps, theoretically allowing a high-definition film to be        downloaded in 30 seconds.
2.Mostly powered by LEDs so it is cost efficient.
3.Transmission of data is fast and easy.
4.Its main advantage is it's Bandwidth is 10,000 times than the radio waves.
